Melted as a dip for chicken, conch, shrimp, or tofu fritters- a simple recipe follows
- 1 package Firm Tofu
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 1\2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1\2 cup Parmesan cheese
- 1\2 cup veggie cheese
- 1\2 -3\4 cup water Canola oil for fried
In a mixing bowl combine flour, garlic, onion, salt and baking powder. Set aside. Puree the tofu with a fork until come creamy and then incorporated to the flour mixture with the cheeses. Add water until the batter comes together. Let rest for 10 minutes then fry until light brown. Drain and serve with melted Pecan Pepper Jelly.
